Congratulations... This is a "run." Happens at dice tables and in investing. We all know the thrill. Sooner or later we all get bit in the arse. The luck is in "getting out" before you bleed to death. Its not an easy thing to do. Not as easy as getting in. Stop losses can be profit preventing if too conservative. The best plays were the days of shorting pigs in pump phase. Contrarian + value plays in one... Hedged by reality among the delusional longs, but sometimes the squeezes were painful before the collapse. The pump before the dump. Those were fun times on SI.
