Given the realities of the situation, I'd be okay with a Romney/Paul ticket, at least right at this moment.
Rubio, West, Jindal are all young and doing fine where they are, IMO. Christie is an odd duck. Ryan and a couple of other mid-westerners also possible, but again these people already have responsible positions where their views are influential, why mess with the few things that are working.

In response to the query of "whither next", after I thought about it some. I like the response about not leaving Cain, but Cain leaving me. I could hardly blame the guy no matter what the specifics of his personal life.
