I try my best to let freedom rule. The problem is that we do not live in a liberterian society. For example in an ideal world I would not interfere in a persons' sex life, because that is their business. However, in our society that person's sex life becomes my problem. If they have children they can't take care of, if they catch sexually transmitted diseases for example, I somehow become responsible for their problem. So I have to address the society as I find it. It seems to me that Wharf and the dem libs he was describing seem to want to be cafeteria liberals and initiate legislative action against me.

I would say I favor freedom unless society creates rules that make your freedom my problem. It seems to me exactly what the cafeteria liberterians are doing.
