Buying in to science and reason, doesn't get you to subjective morality. It simply doesn't.

It teaches you that you don't know something until you can demonstrate it. That may have been the basis of the scientific method but it's broadly applicable.

It says essentially nothing about philosophical questions* such as questions of meta-ethics.

Once again, it says that you don't know it until you can demonstrate it. Where you go from there to make determinations about ethics is another step, one that occurs in a different paradigm, one where moral codes can be developed or intuited or derived or whatever.
