I couldn't handle that either.

I went to a Cowboy Poetry show in 2010 when the census was going on. One of the presenters said he got a temp job in the census office, but it was nothing like that at all. I think he just had to sit around and talk to people when they came in.

I'm going to study up on wasp spray. The advantage is it squirts a long way so you can get somebody at a safe distance. I don't know what effect it has on the person who gets sprayed, but I'm guessing it would be more dangerous to his health than mace. Maybe not worse than a firearm for him, but who knows?

In our citizen's patrol we are allowed wasp spray and bear spray but not weapons. I haven't seen an instance where either was needed, but time will tell.
