Dear Shalom:
I will reply to you here, because I am presently self-exhiled in the "desert" for the intellectually impaired. <<grin>>
During my three hundred kilometre drive today, I had many thoughts about what I had asked you on the Metaphysics thread. It was hardly an appropriate place to ask you this question about evolution, it would be more suitable on a thread called: "Evolutionists vs Creationists" if there was thread by that name..
As, I drove along the highway, watching the scenry flash by and the coyotes in the fields, I must admit I had similiar thoughts to those you just voiced in your reply. How could all of this have just "happened" without a Creator or a Plan..
I live close to nature and as you stated, have seen the wonder and intricate cycle of life, up close and personal.
My life has not been devoid of God, from childhood I have been taught about spiritual matters and God's way of life. I have not always followed those teachings as closely as they are meant to be, but I have, also, never subscribed to the theory of evolution. That school of thought leaves too many unanswered questions, but then so does Creation! Neither is an exact science.. Both requires faith to believe..
Thank you once again for your response. I consider it an honour when a person takes the time and energy to reply and so always try to acknowledge that gift..
Respectfully Carol |
