Internap's New Dallas Fort Worth Data Center Named First in Texas to Achieve
Green Globes Certification

Green building assessment recognizes environmentally-friendly building design,
operation and management

ATLANTA, Feb. 21, 2012 /PRNewswire via COMTEX/ -- Internap Network Services
Corporation (INAP), a provider of intelligent IT Infrastructure services, today
announced that its Dallas data center has received Green Globes? certification,
following a detailed review process by the Green Building Initiative (GBI). The
achievement marks the first Green Globes certification of a public data center in
the state of Texas.

Internap's Dallas data center is a high-reliability, high-density facility that
provides comprehensive IT Infrastructure services - including managed hosting,
colocation and a global, performance-optimized IP network, backed by a 100%
uptime Service Level Agreement - to the area's diverse range of enterprises.
Opened in December 2011, the state-of-the-art data center serves customers with
55,000 square feet of net-sellable floor space that incorporates efficient design
and operational practices from the ground up.

A green building guidance and assessment program, Green Globes helps commercial
building owners advance environmental performance and sustainability through a
rigorous online assessment and comprehensive site visit and evaluation by an
independent, third-party evaluator. To achieve Green Globes certification,
Internap adhered to numerous standards including consuming fewer fossil fuels,
reducing greenhouse emissions, conserving water, reducing other forms of
pollution, minimizing impact on the land surrounding the building and offering a
better working environment for occupants.

"Tremendous energy usage accompanied by unique requirements can make data centers
a difficult fit for sustainability programs. However, the new construction
project for the Internap data center in Plano, Texas, is a great example of
sustainable success in the design and construction of a commercial building of
this type," said Glen P. Haydu, GGA, Green Building Initiative. "Internap did an
outstanding job of maximizing energy and resource efficiencies as well as
creating an environmentally-sound working space for its employees."

Specific highlights that contributed to Internap's Green Globes certification at
its Dallas facility include:

Water conservation - Internap reduced potable water use to nearly 40% below the
recognized American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-Conditioning
Engineers (ASHRAE) standard.

Energy efficiency - More than 90% of Internap's appliances, computers, monitors
and printers are Energy Star compliant. In addition, Internap achieved a lighting
power reduction of 27% below the recognized ASHRAE standard, in part by
establishing occupancy sensors and individual lighting controls for users.

Reuse of building materials - Internap eliminated the environmental impact of a
new construction project by reusing an existing building with connections to
public transportation and established infrastructure in the area, such as banks,
restaurants and shops. Nearly 20% of the new building materials used in
renovations were manufactured with recycled materials. Additionally, Internap was
able to avoid sending almost 85% of its overall construction waste to landfills,
reducing greenhouse gas emissions and the building's impact on the environment.

Improved indoor air quality - Internap used low-emitting materials throughout the
construction of the facility, as well as Green Housekeeping and Green Pest
Control Services.

"With energy use spiraling in data centers, it has become more important than
ever to drive efficiencies across all possible areas throughout the data center -
from design and equipment to operations and processes," said Randy Ortiz,
director of data center design and engineering at Internap. "Working with the
Green Building Initiative helped us to realize our goals of attaining the highest
environmental efficiency standards at our Dallas data center and continuing to
set the bar for our new facilities going forward."

In addition to the Green Globes, Internap is working toward LEED (Leadership in
Energy and Environmental Design) and Energy Star certifications at its Dallas
data center.

Editor's Note: In June 2011, Internap's Santa Clara facility became the first
public data center in the U.S. to achieve Green Globes certification.
Additionally, Internap announced today that its Santa Clara facility has been
awarded LEED certification.
