Ted your only optimistic when the Democrats are in charge. Your bias isn't toward optimism, its against Republicans. Democrats in general are just optimistic that there plans for centralized control and extra spending will be positive. Delusionally optimistic, but yes it optimism. OTOH they are very pessimistic about markets and about people making their own decisions with their own money. We now know the right was wrong about the policy. Obama took a gamble and it worked Nonsense. It had between a minor negative to a modest positive effect in the short term, while greatly increasing the problems of debt and political interference in the economy in the long run.
