Skip, here's my problems in figuring this calculation. There are obviously multiple telecommunications market segments that use timing devices, from cellular base stations to local campus networks to wireline "slaved" clocks. I don't have a mastery of either the technical specs for all these applications nor much information on size of markets. Plus, we still really don't know how commercially applicable the Trimble product is in these markets.

What we do know is about how much the product sells for, its superior accuracy, and its acceptance by Nortel for CDMA base stations (as well as NT's recent successes). I hear from the DATM side that the Trimble product is not as stable as better-than-quartz products. I'm not sure I believe it; it just seems like a comfortable reason for DATM to believe they are not the best buggy whip manufacturers in the timing device market. Also, I understand that about one third of the LU Datum contract will be up for grabs in April.

Here's my question to the technical people on this thread: Is the TRMB a GPS-assisted quartz device, or a quartz-assisted GPS device? If the latter, I agree we're looking at a marketmaking device. I don't know how fast we can get to $100 million a year (or about $2/share profit per year, or about $40 in stock price?)
