They aren't . 51% of a liberal group of scientists are liberals, and 80% of that group lean Democrat, not 51%/80% of all scientists. That's been pointed to you more than once, but you keep spouting the same stats as if they meant anything.>>

What are you talking about. I never said that. I said of the scientist's polled, 51% said they were liberals and 80% said they leaned Democratic. 6% said they were Republican's.

That was what the PEW poll showed.

In statistics, a variation in populations of that magnitude provides confidence, to probably the .001 level of confidence that some variable is causing the difference i.e. that it is not a random difference.

And sooooo---what is that variable is the question?
