Yes, I've read that before and it's certainly a real effect and scientifically accurate. Although the overall effects of a globally warming climate are also contributing as well and probably is - but to what degree is hard to say at this point for any local situation. But that's why they need to spend money to figure it out- is this a 10 year drought, 50 year, or forever? That makes a big difference in terms of planning and eventual expenditure. And none of this planning and money spent has anything to do with perpetuating the global scientific GW "scam" (per the previous poster).

I have rancher relatives in Oklahoma and they are in a world of trouble. And I do much business in China and have seen first-hand the struggles there with similar problems, as in Australia, Africa, Russia (Siberia is literally melting, just like Alaska) and elsewhere. A casual traveler around the world can't help but notice the major issues developing everywhere around the planet. Maybe those who pretend things are just fine need to turn off the TV and get out more.
