The latest Buz in Video Magazine
Video magazine December 1997 is out and has an item on Buz. Iomega is even mentioned by name in the table of contents. The item is in the "New Tech" section on p. 86.

With Iomega's Buz multimedia producer ($200) and an attitude, you too can be a media mogul. Video, digital stills and sound can be combined and edited using the Buz's storyline-type interface. The system includes a video capture card, SCSI controller, and bundled software like Iomega's RecordIt and MGI's VideoWave. (The Buz runs on a Windows 95 PC or Mac OS System 7.5.) With connections for S-video, composite video, and stereo audio, the finished product can be output back to videotape or kept in the computer's domain.
P.S. I saw a generally favorable review of VideoWave's 2-CD retail package for $99 in the December PC World magazine today. Unfortunately, the editors chose LS-120 as their super-floppy of choice in their 100 best products of 1997 roundup. They picked what is by far the worst super-floppy technology available solely because of its backward compatibility with the 1.4 MB floppy. Talk about clueless! For months they cluttered my mailbox with their mag, unsolicited, along with regular billing invoices. After ignoring them for a year, they finally cut me off. Since the ploy apparently worked with the health club I joined, I can still keep tabs on them.
P.P.S. to Jack. Don't worry, you got to post number 37000 and that's all that counts. |
