What is that evidence of? That there are natural methane releases? We know that .... the scientists I posted about earlier described arctic methane releases and said they were not related to current climate change: We would first note that we have never stated that the reason for the currently observed methane emissions were due to recent climate change. In fact, we explained in detail the mechanism of subsea permafrost destabilization as a result of inundation with seawater thousands of years ago. There are natural methane and crude oil seeps in many places in the world.
