As always, your response is totally devoid of facts, just reference to unnamed "experts". In terms of impact on the rest of the planet, the melting of the arctic ice cap is, in itself, not particularly important. It is floating ice, and as Archimedes explained its weight is already displaced by the oceans. On the other hand, the Greenland ice sheet is on land, and if it were to enter the ocean it would be significant additional volume. During the medevial warming the Greenland glaciers must have been much smaller, since the Vikings were able to farm there. That suggests that the medevial warming might have had greater impact on sea levels than your threatened melting of the arctic ice cap.

And by the way, a Phd is much more about perseverance than brilliance. I have worked with mediocre Phd's and brilliant people with no degree.
