I always taught my kids: "if you want to win an argument, It sure helps to be on the right side of it". It was science that hauled us out of the dark ages because people could now verify if ideas were real. Like the fact the sun does not revolve around the earth and the earth is not flat. Remember the authorities in power for the hundreds of years of the middle ages said that anyone who questioend their ideas was a heretic and punishable by torture and death. Think how crazy that was. And no one disputes that history, but no one defends it either, yet it happened. How?
