Scooter--- IMO the IMF thing IS good. The bad part is from what I read the Korean people have a thing about "saving face" and the markets may suffer. nothing hurt the US markets with the S&L bailout, so why should it make much difference there. The problem in Japan is they have 1000 ideas on how to get things going again and no direction is being given by any financial or govt power to see that any damn thing does happen. Lots of talk and zero action. With no reason in the next few months at least for those things to effect our markets they sure may. In the longer term,, negative effects overseas will effect uur markets as their cheaper currency will permit them to sell goods for less and the capacity they have will suck up raw materials causing those prices to rise... with PROPER assistance from free markets, govt agencies, and the IMF all could go very well.......................
