WEEK IN REVIEW: The week was interesting indeed. The LATIN group had the biggest gain at 7.7%. JAPAN also showed a remarkable comeback with a 5.3%, followed by FINANCE 4.2%. Slightly below the S&P was UTILITIES with a 3.4%. Not so good were the NEW-ASIA and ENERGY and PRECIOUS metals. Actually it has been a very bad 3 months for NEW-ASIA funds in that they are down on average 31%. PRECIOUS funds are down 24% and the EMERGING markets are down 17%. Jim
