Wayde, where are you getting a breakdown of the business in Japan? You stated: "MRVC may very well have strong enough business to get through it but when a good portion of their business is coming from Japan and the Japanese economy is nearing a brink of disaster, owners of MRVC shares are going to get a little worried." Here are the only numbers I can find (and they are a bit old.) Sales for the year ended 1996: (derived from note 9 of the company's consolidated financial statement, page F-17 of the prospectus.) US 47% European Community 39% Pacific Rim 7% Middle East 5% All others 2% I believe there was a more recent breakdown somewhere, but I do not remember where. Foreign sales as an overall percentage have increased in 1997, but I do not know what portion of that is in Japan or the Pacific Rim. In addition, someone commented that Japan sales may be related to a government contract and may be somewhat protected from a downturn in the private sector. I can not verify if that is true or false.
