<<I remember when at the last shareholder meeting someone on this thread went to the meeting and demanded that Mitchell speak about a number of issues (AND transcribed the discussion on the thread), when at first Mitchell said they hadn't the time to do so. The way it was reported here made it sound like Mitchell couldn't give two sh*ts about us>>
I also remember reading that particular post. When I got to the part that you mentioned above, that pretty much told me everything. Yeah, that shareholders meeting was a real drag for him, wasn't it? If one despises something so bad, than one should not carryforward. The question is, why have a shareholders meeting, if it's that much of a bother? Correct me if I'm wrong, isnt the purpose of shareholdres meeting to be used as a forum to communicate with shareholders?
Not sure which is worst, the attitude displayed in the above situation or George Bush looking at his watch during the presidential debate.
<<I actually think they might get the numbers out when they say they will this time (but I've been let down before).>>
Fine with me. So what are we looking at, $1 or more in losses this time around? Did JTS shut down operations for, lets say, ten weeks this time around without a single press release to inform investors of what the hell is going on.
Keep in mind at the beginning of this year, JTS was supposed to be profitable by now. What were estimates, say $.10 in earnings for the year, if I recall correctly. Look at where we are now. I realize the industry has taken a turn for the worse, however, one has to question the way JTS does it forecasting, if not the way it does business altogether.
Remember the days when Compaq was suppose to be a major OEM, or when volume shipments of the 3" drives were to start anyday. Or, so many potential OEM's were testing JTS products with positive press releases just around the corner. Whatever happened to all that? Why is JTS making desktop champion drives that even you and I could make given adequate capital. How is JTS diffrentiating itself from all other drive makers? What void are they serving with these drives, do they really expect to steal marketshare from the giants based on price alone?
My prediction is, at this time around next year there won't be a JTS to worry about, let alone when the numbers will come out. On the other hand, to showcase the skill of driving businesses to the ground, Tom Mitchell can put on his resume next to ex-segate founder, ex-JTS founder.
