There is an appalling double-standard in the media regarding religious faith.

Anything goes if you are a democrat, but if you are a Republican, better hide your faith under a bushel or expect to be excoriated for it.

Personally, I think the attacks on Romney's Mormonism are beneath contempt (and I am not, never was, nor ever will be a Mormon).
