irby, what is common about the two strategies and what I posted on was the comment about "competence and cash and you succeed in day trading"... You will notice that comment started my posting... I think 1-5% succeed in day trading I think the reasons for failure are: fear, greed, emotionalism either positive or negative about a stk, a tendency to gamble is another reason people fail.... competence is a reason for failure but it's down the line from the emotional qualities needed. So, I would think my post was directly related to day trading... I think your questions were what drew things off track<ggg>
