"Children should be taught about a number of religions, and about science apart and even in the absence of religion."

You didn't answer my question

Why should I accept the imposition of YOUR dogmatic, philosophical and yes, religious viewpoint, on MY children?

"Skepticism , and thinking critically, as dogma."

I didn't say that. I asked you why YOUR unquestioned and unproven Atheistic Materialist assumptions should overrule a Christian parent's right to teach THEIR children THEIR Theistic Non Materialistic beliefs?

I'm also wondering what exactly it is that you, as an atheist, are cautiously optimistic about?
