I too attended a presentation put on by Globex, but it was approx. 12 - 18 mos ago. I came to some of the same conclusions:
  • in my opinion, the president was smart, earnest, and a good manager of the company's finances
  • the co. had JV'd out a number of prospective properties that could generate some success and work would be paid for by their partners

Provided that I bought in to the stock at a good price point, I didn't feel that I would lose money in the long term with the way that he was running the co. The question was therefore, if I could a make a decent return from this one.

It appeared to me that the talc property is their prime asset and in contrast to other metals like gold, silver, and copper, I don't have the knowledge to determine what the market is for talc and whether some other party would be interested in buying this property from them. The whole category of industrial metals is more difficult to get a feel for. I therefore decided to keep it on periodic watch, only.
