THE EMPEROR OF EVOLUTION HAS NO CLOTHES! There, someone has said it. If any scientists
who have been afraid to say so, read this, then they can sigh with relief and start being
more honest in the expression of their public opinions on the subject.

Agreed, ICR could do better in getting the message out. But they are scientists, most of
them with other full time jobs, not marketing, and with very limited funds. But if the
information ICR has was widely dissimenated, still, only those "with ears to hear" would
hear it. The evolution vs creation debate, important though it is, is an ancillary skirmish
to the main assignment, as Jesus spelled it out in Matthew 28:18-20

After I first became a Christian, the issue of evolution vs the Biblical account didn't seem
important. It wasn't until I read a book on the worldwide evidence of the Flood, that it
occurred to me, that if the Flood really happened, the Genesis account should be believed
and evolution theory viewed with the utmost skepticism.

The Gap theory - haven't thought much about it, but guess it would hinge on what exactly
is meant by "And the earth was without form and void". There's good reason, depending on
what exactly that means, to believe that all fossils in existence only came into being
after the six days of creation that pertain to us on earth. Like you, I have no argument
with proponents or opponents of the Gap theory or its alternatives.

As far as Lucifer's fall on the earth timeline, it seems very reasonable that it happened
before the six days of creation, recorded in Genesis, began.

I have a fascinating book around here somewhere by an astrophysicist, a collection of
essays written for the understanding of the layperson. It is his opinion (the kind of
opinion for discussion, not argument) that not only does a black hole fit Jesus' description
of the bottomless pit (so, one of those holes out there was made just with Satan in mind), but
that black holes could also be gateways to other universes. So, just when a person starts to
get a grasp on how vastly huge the universe is, it may be infinitely exponentially bigger.

And, if so, then just because this universe (all the stars visible to our best telescopes)
was created a few thousand years ago doesn't mean that countless other universes didn't
already exist. Whatever is out there, we can be sure that there is more than enough room
for "whosoever believeth in Him" in the hereafter.

Regarding your comment, Steve, "I guess you can pick a subject and if you
just pull out one scripture then you cannot form the true picture about
what to do."
-- Yes, and what you are saying relates to what God says about
how a matter should be judged only when two or three witnesses agree in their testimony
on the matter. (Deuteronomy 17:6, 19:5, Matthew 18:16, 2Cor 13:1, 1Tim 5:19, Heb 10:28
and many other passages indicate to us that confirmation of two or three witnesses is
highly recommended) What better witness to explain Scripture than other Scriptures that
relate to the same topic. The meaning they share sheds light on the truth. The apparent
contradictions are warning signs of being on the wrong path to understanding, because the truth doesn't contradict itself.
