I want nothing to do with RRSP's. The best thing to do if you already have them is be a lender to yourself or others. You are allowed to invest in mortgages but then it either goes back in (with the investment interest) or you pay the tax. So in the end you pay the taxes or you die with it unused in account.

The first time home buyer use is a good way to get it out and then just eat the taxes each year instead of paying yourself back...
