I think society should appreciate their efforts in those areas.

I appreciate their charitable efforts very much. I think the Church as business enterprise is inappropriate and unhealthy for both society and the Church.

It's not your place to say religious institutions have no place in health care, adoptions, orphanages, and education of children.

I did not say or suggest that they have no place in these fields. You are intentionally ignoring the nuance. The only aspect of that with which I take issue is the role of hospital magnate. Religious institutions and business enterprise are inherently incompatible.
