CRUS said that they are shifting their development from the mid-high end graphics chips and toward an integrated system logic+3-D graphics+sound+ system interface chip. S3 said they are considering something similar. The high-end graphics space is becoming dominated by 3Dfx, and 3DO (?). When you combine an "all in one chip-set" plus the low-cost C6, you would have a very low cost system for sub $1,000 to mid-range PCs/NC/Net Appliances. This combination would be similar in most respects to what Cyrix has done with the MediaGX chip-set solution.
