As a matter of fact, the Jewish health club does serve the general public as well as Jews and thus competes with businesses who run gyms.

Sure. These activities are generally open to non-members for a variety of reasons. That's not the same thing as starting a chain of health clubs. When they do that, be sure to let me know that you've finally found an example.
