Government's role is more reasonably ours to determine, than the role of an organization that doesn't forcibly grab our money, or weld coercive power over us.

I don't doubt that a church grab is more benign than a government grab given that government encroachment is already well developed and church encroachment is at the early stages.

But that doesn't change the underlying principle--the point I was trying to make--that organizational entities have roles within our society and it's best that each sticks to its knitting.
