Ali, >>>No matter how you classify the Cyrix system, it works and works fast enough. <<<

90% of Dell's total business and 85% of Compaq's are business and institutional users like Merrill Lynch; Bears, Stearns; Du Pont; and G. E. Business represents 88% of the $454 billion in US spending on IT. Merrill Lynch, for example, spends $1.5 billion on IT each year.

Why would they spend money on something from some company that may work and work just fast enough - but is always behind state of the art?

Let's face it, AMD and Cyrix can only compete for a part of the consumer business or a part of the 12% that is not business and institutional.

Mary
