The majority of that profit came from loaning to the US Gov't, not the private market, I'd wager..

Borrow cheap from the Fed, loan expensive to the Treasury.. Like having your own money tree.

I know that's the conspiracy meme, but I doubt it's true. If you can prove it with solid, substantiated data I might change my mind.
