Well, apparently the TBTF banks are being permitted to capture their NOL's, despite having been bailed out with TARP funds.

But I also remember reading where the majority of JPM's 2009 or 2010 profits were from owning Treasuries. I would have to find the article again..

But it makes sense as this is why the Treasury issued so much debt so that the TBTF's would have a place to park the cheap funds they were borrowing from the Fed.
