I think the market value of COPY can ,to a great extent, be attributed to the large short position which has always existed. At least in the early years the increases in share values were apparently a result of short squeezes. I don't know if there was ever a coordinated effort to move shares to accounts where they could not be borrowed but I suspect that was the case.
I beleive that if the short interst ever drops then COPY is a goner.
