Hi steve: I guess there are as many differing opinions about this, as there is about creation. Its been awhile since I read about this subject and was speaking more from memory than anything else. But it is a fascinating subject and if anyone has anything to add to the discussion, I would be interested to hear it... I am going to do some reading about the "gap theory"... I am always willing to acquire new knowledge, but also to decide for myself to embrace or reject it... I believe we are "naturally" inquisitive creatures and is expected to be that way, for that is the way we learn... Regards Carol
