Either way I don't see any point in it being a political issue, or somehow considered inappropriate.

When I asked about value added, it was simply a question aimed at gaining information. I do not see what Catholic ownership brings to a hospital beyond any other ownership. The point of the question was to try to learn why the world is better off with Catholic hospitals, why I or anyone else might miss them. My question wasn't arguing anything, making it a political issue, or deeming it inappropriate. If I inquire about the added value of big box stores, for example, I would expect a list of benefits that ensue from size. I got no list. I have to assume that there is no added value. If there is no added value, then the fight is just an us vs them one, not a fight for better health care.
