"Humanity’s earliest ancestor looked like tiny eel, study finds" Wow! 75 million years before plants would appear! And then 270 million years till the dinosaurs roared. The time spans are incomprehensible at a sensory level. Just numbers. Considering the timelines of life and the universe itself it seems silly to put much credibility in 20 billion years. All of it could be a grain of sand in space and a moment in time. Why not? Great to speculate and unravelling the laws of life is wonderful but I think Socrates was quite right: He was wise because he knew nothing but knew it...
