After-birth Abortion Logic

Here's the progression of logic that leads to after-birth abortions:

Human rights > Human personhood rights > Personhood rights

Now being human isn't enough to have rights. Humans - or any being that qualifies as a "person" - has to meet a set of criteria to gain rights. You have to qualify for rights. You have to function in a certain way. Being isn't enough. Rights and value are based on doing. And if you can't do what qualifies, you don't have rights.

"Personhood" is a linguistic sleight of hand to exclude some humans from the protected class. This move has been done in the past and has never resulted in any flourishing of rights, but the annihilation of those excluded. "Life unworthy of life."

There are no human rights in this logic.
