I didn't make a comparison, I mocked the 98% figure.

The 98% stat was used to claim that 98% of Catholic women don't follow their church's teaching on birth control. As if that somehow negated the church's right to their position.

They apparently got the 98% figure by taking the 2% of all Catholic women between 15 and 44 who are sexually active, who aren't pregnant or trying to get pregnant, and who say they are currently using natural family planning and subtracting that from 100. They even included women in that cohort who said they aren't using ANY birth control in the 98%.
