didn't (to my knowledge) indicate anything about market value.
Does this mean that he's implying that the specialist can/would
limit the volume (how? ridiculously low bids?) until it got down
to $17? what mechanism allows the specialist to effectively
halve the market cap in the face of glowing fundamentals?

maybe DR. IOMEGA has the cure for what ails Darrell (or US as
the case may be). If Darrell isn't out to make a buck (as a trader)
then it seems that something is terribly wrong with the mechanism
at work for creating fair value. I don't see what the specialist
has to gain by driving the price down to $17.

Why $17 anyway? Mob control of the short position?
