If there is no value added, there is still value added?

If Bob adds 5 "units of value", and Mary adds 5 units as well, Mary isn't adding any additional value, but is adding value.

The same applies to church hospitals. They perform a useful service, doing so is adding value even if they don't add any more value than a secular hospital, or a hospital connected to a different religion would add.

If you support something that adds no value, if you can't provide a reason why what you are supporting contributes to warrant your support, then what reason might their be for your supporting it?

They do add value, see above.

Also I'm not supporting them, in the sense of cheering them on, let alone in the sense of pushing for secular hospitals to be replaced by religious ones. I'm opposing opposition to them. For me there isn't a "team" here. I'm against making the religious hospitals in to the "bad team".
