Well I'm back from Comdex and here is some of the interesting things that happened related to Corel.

They had Corel's balloon floating around Vegas with WP8 on it. My friend commented that they needed a new paint job but it looked fine to me.

They had Coreldraw 8 seminars which looked full both times I went to the booth.

Novell had many computers setup around the convention centre for people to us the internet and E-Mail. I could have posted to you from them but didn't want to use my password on their computer. They also had WP8 on it which was the only place I saw it other than Corel's booth. All the other booths that I visited with new computer hardware were using MS word or Excell for demoing their products which I was mentally looking for to see WP but never did.

The NC was on display but a Corel person said it won't be available till next year Q1 $1000 US. From MHO it looked like a little Nintendo game since it was in a plastic case. I'm use to seeing metal computer cases so this is just my gut feeling. I would think plastic is cheaper. Now I wanted to see some Java applications runnig but they just had the Corel video going which I wasn't intersted in.

I wanted to see Remagen running but the guy said the people involved were gone and to come back latter. He also commented that he would like to see it also. Hmm this seemed funny to me -- this is the biggest computer show of the year and you would think they would have enough people to staff the display. Well I wasn't planning on going back but my curiosity got the better part and I went back the next day. A PR guy at the booth said they packed up the server and left. Hmm sounds like they had problems or Vapourware.

I'll post a few more interesting observations later

Mike
