Re Darrell's post. Moods sure swing fast around here. Wasn't it just last night everyone was very bullish on this stock. Now with one little allusion, we're back in fear-mode again.
I am inclined to say D owes us a little more too (if necessary, second-hand through Allen who is widely respected for his objectivity) if he is not at liberty to go on record.
On the other hand, if the quality of the infomation is not good, D may unnecessarily spook the thread and thus do pointless damage to longs here.
It's a toughie, but on balance, I believe he should spill it, if it's not illegal or unethical. The deciding factors are twofold: 1) we are mainly here for for the information and 2) we are all capable of evaluating it for ourselves.
P.S. My decision to sell last week was based on my tiredness (I needed to lower my stress level), market volatility and my observation over the months, that the specialist never lets IOM go more than a point or 2 higher than the old high, resulting in short-term disenchantment and retracing. I gave up on short squeezes long ago. Thus after breaking over the old high of 30, I thought 1 1/2 points was plenty and sold to play it safe. I do not expect a crash to 22, or even 25. I'd be elated to get 1000 at 27, and will gladly settle for 29-30. I want to own IOM once again, very soon. I can see it at 35 by year-end, easily, and hope to own it at a new 29-ish cost basis when it gets there. Like Fido, I'm trying not to get greedy. Now if I could only lay off the stupid momentum plays. |
