Sankar, is Softbank a bank or not? Is it an investment house? Without knowing the kind of capitalization they would be allowed it is counterproductive they will sell US equities. It is quite possible that their US equities are the best in their portofolio and they will lquidate all other assets, if they have to. If they are lenders their capital ratio can best be improved by calling outstanding debts to them rather then selling assets. It is also possible that they are holding YHOO stock in accounts for customers as custodian, and then assuming they will dump all these shares may also be a conjecture.
