Carl, I took profits on many of my shorts of all types during the last dip. I have been selectively shorting again as the market goes up, stuff like yhoo, ctxs, sebl. I am leaving my y2k short positions small for now because of danger of year end rally in y2k.

When you have a profit in a position and are unsure as to whether to take profits or stay in, compromise and cover half the position. I have watched many investors (both long and short) let their profits evaporate into losses.
