3/9/12 Contest Update
The dancing Bears prominent early in the week were quickly exhausted and by Wednesday the band was back to playing for the Bulls. At Friday’s close, the Contest median was up 20.53% YTD (vs. up 21.84% YTD a week ago). In comparison, the Nasdaq Biotech Index was up 14.35% YTD (vs. up 14.81% YTD a week ago), while the Nasdaq Composite Index was up 14.71% YTD (vs. up 14.24% YTD a week ago).
DON’s’s portfolio, up 42.24% YTD, was carried by THLD over the threshold into first place. BIOJIM’s portfolio, up 39.25% YTD, held on to second place and ARTHUR’s portfolio, up 34.85% YTD, took over third place.
At Friday's close, all 38 Contest portfolios remained in the black, with 25 of the 38 portfolios beating the NBI.
