Obama and Chu consciously and openly set a goal of higher energy prices for the US. That's a simple fact. What have they done that would tend to bring that about? A number of things - shutting down coal mines, slowdowns on GOM leasing, preventing Shell from drilling on leases offshore Alaska, blocking the Keystone XL pipeline, among other things. Sure there are a lot of other factors that affect energy prices, but when the administration has a choice of actions, they seem to always make the choice that will limit supply and boost prices.

What taxes did OB raise?

Mostly they've advocated future tax increases. But that has an impact on business planning.

What new healthcare costs are businesses paying.?.....there are many who are no longer paying for healthcare insurance...

Again, the healthcare cost increases have been designed to take effect after the next election. But future costs do have an impact on business planning.
