Twest, I am with you on this one. I can't understand Marty's posting on Geron. Since Geron paid for this research it seems very logical that they thought the research was worthwhile before it gave such lousy results. There is substantial circumstantial evidence that a telomerase inhibitor will not work against human tumours as it doesn't against mice tumours. In fact, there is no direct evidence at all that telomerase inhibition will have any impact on a tumour. The up-regulation of telomerase in 87% of tumours may not be causally connected. I would be interested in hearing from anyone who does research in this area. Gavin
