Dream on. Won't ever happen. Too much power would be lost by doing the right thing, which is what you suggested. The thing is their power will be lost anyways when the collapse occurs and they have to admit they can't provide the benefits paid for and promised over a life time of savings. When they can't provide what was promised and what was paid for basically with a very large percentage of ones life savings, the Govt is no longer any different than a common con artist who cons somebody's grandmother out of their life savings.
