Yes.

East Africa is a powerhouse of various natural resources, oil, minerals, etc., many critical for our industry and defense needs, and is currently China's major foreign push for influence and economic benefits.

Anyway... what? 100 special forces (trainers, special tactics, etc.) is hardly the next invasion of Iraq.

We already have, what... something like 128 foreign bases for the forward globe-spanning deployment of our arm-forces (if we are to listen to the words of Ron Paul and the Paulites <g>)?

So what's a hundred or so among friends? :-)
