Freeus,

In the past, Dell's announcing a split, did wonders for the price. Nobody waited for the split to happen, they bought in at the news.

Its suppose to allow all the moms and pops a way in to a good company. But all the big guys bought in first. It takes away some of the volatility, etc. Gives the company some shares to work with, should they have some acquisitions in mind.

As long as you make a profit every quarter, keep those margins lookin good, the amount of shares won't matter much. But eventually, it will take longer and longer to get those shares to move much, one way or the other. Go up 20 pts a year whether we like it or not.
